Stephen Hunter - Head of Factual
Stephen Hunter is an award-winning TV producer, Executive Producer, show runner and writer. He has worked for many major Networks worldwide. He’s been an on-air presenter and producer for the CBC in Canada and Head of Development for indie producers, CineNova and Cineflix. He has recently come off a 9 year stint as VP of Production and Development for National Geographic Channels International.
At National Geographic, he commissioned and Executive Produced such Specials as: Jet Man Live, Stonehenge Decoded, Jesus: Rise to Power, Apocalypse: Rise of Hitler, Bones of the Buddha,Disaster in the Gulf, 9/11: The American Dream and Alien Deep. Series include: Air Crash Investigations, Seconds from Disaster, Scam City, Salvage Code Red and First Ascent.
Matthew Thompson - Creative Director
Matthew is an award-winning producer, writer and director, who has helped create blue-chip series such as Who Do You Think You Are, Prehistoric Park, I Shouldn’t be Alive and Discovery Project Earth, as well as 2 hour CGI specials such as The Great Dinosaur Escape. Matthew also writes and directs drama. Having won both the BBC New Filmmaker’s Award and Kevin Spacey’s Trigger Street prize for his short films, he moved on to direct episodes of hit international show Primeval and two independent feature films that were nominated for awards at major festivals.
David Herman - Managing Director
David has been producing and directing documentary films for over two decades. In 1994 he made The Bielski Brothers, a self-financed documentary about a Jewish Partisan group, that was broadcast in 7 countries. For the next decade, he was an independent producer/director making documentary films including The Enthusiastic Death of Timothy Leary (C4), Bengali Backlash (C4), The Search for Kurtz (C4) and Who Speaks for the Muslims (C4). In 2001 he started working as a Series Producer/Director, credits include Conspiracies on Trial (Discovery), Discovery Earth Project (Discovery), Oil Sweat and Rigs (Discovery), Drugs Inc., (NatGeo), and Outlaw Bikers (NatGeo). He then worked as an Executive Producer for Firecracker Films, with credits including, My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding (TLC), Family Guns (NatGeo) and My Mom is Obsessed (OWN). In 2012, he established If Not Us Films Ltd. with credits including: A Fair Cop: 100 Years of Women Police (BBC), Aidan; Britain’s Rarest Boy (Discovery) and 14 Years on Death Row (C5).
